I live in Paris. And before I moved to this city, I knew relatively little about street art. I knew even less about graffiti art. However, since moving to Paris, I have developed a healthy appreciation for both. This city is full of artists who use Paris as their canvas, and their works are often stunningly beautiful.
They’ve also inspired me to seek out graffiti and street artists in other countries. Which brings me to today’s daily helping: Zeinixx from Senegal, touted as that country’s first woman graffiti artist. Sadly, I’ve never been to Senegal, so I haven’t been able to see any of Zeinixx’s work in person. But after looking through her portfolio on Instagram, I hope to rectify that at some point in the near future. Her work is beautiful, defiant, and full of empathy. Exactly what the world needs more of right now.
