Today’s daily helping is yet another rec, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the people sending these in. Because now I know about the work of Zanele Muholi, and their photography is absolutely incredible. Zanele Muholi is a South African photographer and visual activist who focuses on the Black experience in their country. In particular, as a queer, non-binary artist, they seek to empower marginalized voices within the LGBTQ community. They are also extraordinarily talented. I could spend hours looking at their photos, especially the portraits. Muholi has a way of capturing people’s spirits that is hard to put into words, but is beautiful nonetheless.
Thank you again to all those who have sent in recs. Please keep them coming, as they are much appreciated!
