That’s right. It’s Friday. And this week I have something to (hopefully) make you laugh as we start the weekend. I present to you, the Peeing Boy Statue of Iya Valley by Ryoko Kawasaki. This statue stands on the precipice of Nana Magari, a winding gorge that is bordered by 200 metre cliffs. Young boys used to dare each other to pee off the side of the cliffs, an activity that has now been immortalized by art.
I must admit, I was not expecting to find my day’s Daily Hart on the winding road of the Iya Kaido Highway. But we rounded a corner and I saw this statue, and basically proceeded to cackle like a hyena for five minutes before taking a photo. Art really can be found anywhere.
Happy Friday all!
