My world tour of traditional dances continues today with the Malambo, an Argentinian folk dance. It is traditionally performed by men, and it is notable for its powerful and energetic leg movements and stomping. Personally, I’m absolutely loving the outfits, especially the pants. I also love the precise and deliberate movements of the dancers as they move around the stage. I’ve never been to Argentina, but it’s definitely on my list of place to visit. Hopefully I’ll get to see Malambo live at some point in the future.
