So you may have noticed that I’ve been on a bit of a BL kick lately. I first discovered this genre during the first Daily Hart challenge, and promptly fell down a rabbit hole of learning about all things BL. This time around, I made the critical error of watching KinnPorsche, and just like that my productively took a huge hit. Mostly because I’ve been devouring other shows trying to find one just like it. But also because I wanted to continue learning about the genre as a whole, because honestly, it’s fascinating in so many ways. So I did what I always do when I want to learn more about a subject. I went looking for podcasts about it. Which is how I landed on the Lovecast podcast.
I may have listened to their KinnPorsche episode right off the bat. But since then I’ve been steadily making my way through their back catalogue. The episodes cover a wide range of topics, from deep discussions on issues and discourse within the BL community, to series discussions and interviews with the creators. And I’m loving it all. In particular, I highly recommend the Is It Okay to be a Fujoshi?! episode with Aeri. I absolutely loved that discussion, because it made me think about so many issues in so many new ways. Which is why I listen to podcasts in the first place.
So yeah. My BL viewing is not going to end any time soon. And now I have podcasts like Lovecast to allow me to delve even further into this world. Life is good.
