Sometimes I have to spend quite a lot of time searching for artists and artworks to feature as daily helpings. And sometimes the perfect piece finds me right away. Today it was the later when I discovered Yannis by Katherine Alecse. And it was love at first sight.
I can only assume that the name of this painting is referring to the figure in the centre. But maybe not. Either way, I love this piece. The colour scheme is gorgeous, and the image is hauntingly beautiful. I would be lying if I said I wasn’t tempted to buy this painting, but sadly I have nowhere to hang it properly. One day! And looking at the rest of Katherine Alecse’s portfolio, it hopefully won’t be the only one I buy.
