There is something so beautifully profound about the delivery of this poem. Jamie Mortara has a way of catching you off guard with the deeper meanings of their words. You laugh at first, only to stop and think seconds later when the truth of what they are really saying finally catches up to you. It’s a riveting delivery style that had me constantly wondering what was coming next. Because what was coming next was often both beautifully sad but hopeful.
There’s a lot of things to know about Jamie Mortara before you date them, just as there are for all of us. I know my own list is long and complicated. I can only hope I’m as eloquent as this the next time I have to lay them all out.
