Don’t worry. Today’s daily helping is not another rant like last Saturday. Today is Grandma’s Purse, an absolutely adorable children’s book by Vanessa Brantley-Newton. I loved everything about this story. It’s just so deeply relatable to anyone with a grandma. My grandma’s purse may not have held quite the level of fascination for me, but she was always ready with a candy and a treat. Usually a jujube from a bowl in her living room that never ran empty. And I was most definitely spoilt rotten when it came to gifts. In short, I love this book because this is a story that understands just how uniquely special grandmas truly are. No wonder I miss mine.
