Okay, I’ve read this three part poem about five times now, and I still don’t know what to make of it. Emily Berry certainly has a way with words, because all three parts are incredibly vivid in their own way. But I have no idea what they’re saying. Whether they’re meant to be taken literally or as metaphor. What I’m supposed to take away from them. Every time I read them, I come away with a different interpretation. Which I suppose is the point of poetry? Maybe? I don’t know. All I know is that I enjoyed reading this poem every time, and that is all that matters.
