Elisa Elvira Zuloaga was a Venezuelan painter and graphic artist whose work I stumbled upon while researching an entirely different subject altogether. Sometimes, the Internet just works in your favour.
In this case, I quickly fell down the rabbit hole of paintings and images by Elisa Elvira Zuloaga, as they are all beautiful. They are grounded in realism, but there’s a slight filter of surrealism laid overtop that I don’t really know how to describe. It’s like the scenes she’s depicting exist in a hyper reality that is just a bit over the line of too beautiful. And I love them.
Hopefully I can see one of her paintings in person in the near future. In the meantime, I’ll just admire the autumn landscape above and dream of the beautiful fall days that are hopefully just on the horizon.
